Amagisou (Kawazu-cho, Shizuoka)

About two hours by express "Odoriko" from Tokyo, and geting off at Kawazu Station located in the southeastern part of Izu Peninsula, moreover 40 minutes by bus.
Amagisou is Onsen Ryokan located at the foot of the famous three-dimensional bridge "Kawazu Nanadaru loop bridge" linking the steep difference in height of the mountains.

Open-air baths are dotted along the river among the steep valley, such as isolated from the outside world, you can bathe looking over the waterfall "Oodaru" of height 30 m. It's the exceptional "Hot Spa overlooking the waterfall".

In recent years, it's also known as one of the filming location for the Japanese movie "Thermae Romae". Now tourists from all over the world visits to stay at, especially Chinese people who are stick to feng shui. They say that "bathing with waterfall view" means "fortune goes up".

It's about 40 minutes to Amagisou by bus from Kawazu where is famous for the early flowering cherry "Kawazu-zakura(Kawazu Cherry Trees).

Because Amagisou is built on the steep slope of the valley, the lobby floor facing the street is located on the third floor of the building.

In the first place, Amagisou isn't Luxury Ryokan, so the room rate is not high as the room with the open-air bath.

In the fridge at the back, small bottle of beer, wine, sake and mineral water are put for free.

Only the birdsong and the murmur of clear stream flowing far below are music to my ears.

And you can see Kawazu Nanadaru loop bridge on the left of the terrace.
This loop bridge connects the diameter 80m, height difference 40m.
It was born in 1981 as a strong viaduct to disasters such as landslides in lesson the road disruption of hillside by the earthquake of 1978.
