About two hours by express "Odoriko" from Tokyo, and geting off at Kawazu Station located in the southeastern part of Izu Peninsula,
moreover 40 minutes by bus.
Amagisou is Onsen Ryokan located at the foot of the famous three-dimensional
bridge "Kawazu Nanadaru loop bridge" linking the steep difference
in height of the mountains.
Open-air baths are dotted along the river among the steep valley, such as isolated from the outside world, you can bathe looking
over the waterfall "Oodaru" of height 30 m.
It's the exceptional "Hot Spa overlooking the waterfall".
In recent years, it's also known as one of the filming location for the Japanese movie "Thermae Romae". Now tourists from all over the world visits to stay at, especially Chinese people who are stick to feng shui. They say that "bathing with waterfall view" means "fortune goes up".
It's about 40 minutes to Amagisou by bus from Kawazu where is famous for the early flowering cherry "Kawazu-zakura(Kawazu Cherry Trees).
In the location that the plains gradually goes into the deep mountains, Amagisou is casual Onsen Ryokan along Kawazugawa River.
In the history spanning the founding more than 50 years, with the background as National youth hostel in a certain period, Amagisou has very friendly and casual atmosphere.
As reported at the beginning, Amagisou was used for the movie "Thermae Romae". It would have been considerably contributed to profile up Amagisou.
Because Amagisou is built on the steep slope of the valley, the lobby floor
facing the street is located on the third floor of the building.
The view from the lounge is so excellent.
Then the scene has changed.
It's in the room with open-air bath that I choosed this time.
I's a simple Japanese-style room, and has 10-mat + Hiroen + terrace, it's spacious floor plan.
In the first place, Amagisou isn't Luxury Ryokan, so the room rate is not high as the room with the open-air bath.
The spacious Hiroen is ahead of the main tatami room.
In the fridge at the back, small bottle of beer, wine, sake and mineral water are put for free.
it's a little happy surprise.
In addition, the outside of the Hiroen, there is the spacious private terrace.
There is no what luxury, but rustic and cozy space it is.
And dynamic valley that cuts deeply in front of the eyes, overlooking the steep mountainside that rises from the opposite shore, superb view from the private space.
The green of trees near by and the ridge of the mountains of far highlight the perspective.
Blue sky spread ahead of the opening of the eaves. p>
Only the birdsong and the murmur of clear stream flowing far below are music to my ears.
And you can see Kawazu Nanadaru loop bridge on the left of the terrace.
This loop bridge connects the diameter 80m, height difference 40m.
It was born in 1981 as a strong viaduct to disasters such as landslides
in lesson the road disruption of hillside by the earthquake of 1978.
And in the right hand of the terrace, the quaint open-air bath extends to the valley side.
Doesn't it look like a cable car going up the slope of the mountain?
Given the view only, I wish if there was no window. In fact it could be.
But I think they dare to put the windows in consideration of measures against
the mosquitoes in summer and coldness in winter.
Of course, you can have the view of the loop bridge from the bathtub.
Stretching your both arms along the edge of the bathtub, you can supremely relax.
From the bathtub spout like a large sake cup, hot-spring continues to pour incessantly like fountain.
The view from the opposite side.
Washing place is a little modern made with tiled.
The washroom adjacent to the open-air bath.
The porcelain sink as same kind of the bathtub is so nice.
"Oh! my
contact lenses had flowed into the drainage ditch!"
The spill prevention mat is prepared as not to make such a happening.
